Black can be wonderfully understated. This glasses case, however, only stays that way until you decide what should happen next. The ANY DI SunCover Patch it! Black is a customisable glasses case made from black vegan leather and designed to be restyled with two separately available ANY DI patches. Initials, letters, emojis or small messages can be attached to the two press studs on the front, turning the clean black base into an accessory with a much more personal point of view. Without patches, the SunCover remains deliberately pared back: black is punctuated by four small golden attachment details, a 24-carat gold-plated emblem and further glossy gold-plated hardware. Measuring 13.5 cm wide and 6.5 cm high and weighing only around 40 grams, the patented case stays pleasingly compact. Inside, soft microfibre pads help protect the lenses from dust and scratches while gently cleaning them whenever the glasses are stored. Its patented shape is designed to accommodate all common glasses shapes and sizes, while the leather hanger at the back allows the SunCover to be attached directly to a bag or belt. A black glasses case, then. At least until you have a better idea.

The defining detail of this version sits right on the front. Two attachment points are designed for the 3D-embossed patches from the ANY DI Patch It! collection, allowing the appearance of the case to change without replacing the accessory itself. Choose your initials today, an emoji tomorrow or a little message whenever the mood changes. The SunCover can follow an outfit, a moment or simply a new favourite combination. The separately available leather patches are carefully detailed with fine golden lines, while their edges are hand-painted and sealed for a neat finish.
The SunCover itself remains refreshingly easy to use. Place the open glasses case over the lenses and close the press stud, then fold the arms behind the back section. The lenses sit protected between the soft microfibre surfaces while the arms remain outside. This compact construction works with sunglasses and many optical frames in a wide range of shapes and sizes. Using the leather hanger, the case can also be attached to the outside of a Bag or to a belt, keeping your glasses close at hand rather than sending them on a small expedition through the bottom of your handbag.
Design with room for your own ideas
ANY DI was founded by Anne Dickhardt, whose original path was shaped by competitive tennis. Following an injury in 2006, she changed direction, studied fashion and design management in Munich and began developing her own approach to functional fashion accessories. Designs such as the convertible Bag L and later the patented SunCover grew from a simple principle: aesthetics and everyday usefulness should not have to compete with one another.
Patch it! takes that thought a little further by leaving part of the design deliberately open to you. The black version creates a calm backdrop against which colourful patches, letters and symbols can take centre stage, yet the glasses case still works as a clean accessory without any additions at all. That freedom suits an accessories collection that does not insist on one fixed look forever.
