Engels Kerzen: Engels Fine Line

Pillar Candle pebble 15 cm

Fine lines, lovely light and a little personality

Good candlelight has a character of its own. This candle manages to show some of it before the wick is even lit. The Engels Fine Line pillar candle in Kiesel, a soft pebble grey, combines a beautifully ribbed surface with a gentle, understated colour that changes subtly with its surroundings. Measuring 15 cm in height and 7 cm in diameter, this ribbed pillar candle has a clean cylindrical silhouette, brought to life by delicate vertical grooves running along its surface. Hand-poured in Germany from solid-coloured, vegan paraffin wax, it offers a thoughtful balance of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design. The REACH-certified paraffin is designed to burn evenly with a calm, steady flame, offering approximately 40 hours of burn time. As the candle burns, its finely textured surface catches the light and creates gentle contrasts of shadow and warmth. A rather lovely reminder that even a simple grey candle can have plenty of personality.

A little texture goes a long way

The Engels Fine Line collection shows just how much character a candle can bring to a room without relying on bold colours or elaborate shapes. The soft pebble-grey shade feels equally at home alongside natural wood, linen, ceramics and darker contemporary interiors. Place it on a simple candle plate for a quiet focal point, or arrange it with pillar candles of different heights to create a more layered display. Its delicate ribbed texture looks particularly appealing next to smooth candles, organic-shaped bowls and understated decorative accessories. Because the wax is coloured throughout, the grey shade continues beyond the surface rather than being a decorative outer coating. And there is no need to save it for a particular season. From spring lunches and autumn evenings to Christmas table settings, this candle finds its place throughout the year. It also makes a thoughtful little gift for anyone who enjoys creating a welcoming home.

Craftsmanship with a story worth keeping

Engels Kerzen has been making candles in Kempen, Germany, since 1933. What began as a family business producing candles for churches has grown into a respected manufacturer of candles for interiors, dining tables and everyday living. More than 90 years of experience are reflected in the brand's approach to materials, craftsmanship and design. The Fine Line collection brings this heritage into a contemporary setting, giving the familiar pillar candle a fresh perspective through its finely structured surface. Engels uses carefully processed paraffin refined in Germany and subject to strict quality controls. The wax is vegan, stores well and is developed for consistent burning performance. To help your candle burn beautifully, keep the wick trimmed to approximately 1 cm before lighting and always place it on a suitable heat-resistant surface. A little care makes those candlelit evenings all the more enjoyable.

Better together, beautiful on its own

The Fine Line collection includes coordinating taper candles, pillar candles and six carefully matched colours, making it easy to create combinations that feel personal rather than overly arranged. Pair the Kiesel grey ribbed candle with other shades and heights from the collection, or let it stand alone on a simple candle holder. Engels Klassik ribbed candles, Engels Original candles and holders from the Jana range offer further possibilities for mixing shapes and textures. At LIVOSY, we have a soft spot for pieces that can be styled differently as the seasons and your surroundings change. A linen tablecloth, a favourite ceramic plate or a few seasonal branches are often all it takes to give a familiar space a new atmosphere. With its gentle grey colour, fine vertical lines and warm candlelight, the Engels Fine Line pillar candle is an easy companion for all those moments worth lingering over.
