This set contains two candles made from solid-coloured paraffin wax, each offering approximately 82 hours of burn time. Cast and handcrafted in Germany, every candle is carefully polished to create the smooth surface and subtle silky sheen characteristic of the ENGELS ORIGINAL collection. A rounded polished rim and gently recessed candle top add a considered finish to its clean cylindrical shape. The paraffin wax is REACH-certified and vegan, while an integrated burn stop complements the careful construction. As for the Spruce colour, it is a rich, calm green that naturally finds its place at Christmas, yet pays remarkably little attention to the calendar. Two candles and quite a few evenings ahead

At 15 cm tall, this version has enough presence to stand confidently without requiring an elaborate arrangement around it. That makes the set of two particularly versatile. Place both candles together on a tray or candle plate, position them separately around a room or combine them with shorter and taller pillar candles to create an easy grouping. Varying heights add rhythm without making the arrangement feel overly decorated. Spruce is equally uncomplicated when it comes to colour. For a more even burn, Engels Kerzen recommends trimming the wick to approximately 1 cm before lighting the candle for the first time and checking the length again before each subsequent use. Any residue on the wick is best removed with sharp scissors. Should the candle rim become too high or uneven over time, it can be carefully trimmed while the wax is still warm. Fingerprints or dust on the polished surface can also be gently buffed away using fine nylon. A little candle care in return for approximately 82 hours of light from each pillar candle seems a rather fair arrangement.
