Supplied as a set of two, the candles measure 15 cm high and 8 cm in diameter, giving them plenty of presence without requiring an elaborate arrangement around them. Each pillar candle is cast in Germany from paraffin wax, coloured throughout and made by hand. A defining feature of ENGELS ORIGINAL is its carefully polished surface with a subtle silky sheen. For a calm flame and an evenly developing wax pool, Engels Kerzen recommends trimming the wick to approximately 1 cm before first use and checking this length again before relighting. Which means the candles have every reason to look good even before the match comes out.
