Each candle measures 15 cm high and 8 cm in diameter and is made from paraffin wax in Germany. Evenly spaced vertical ribs give the familiar pillar shape a graphic structure, while the matt velvet lacquer creates a wonderfully calm surface. Rather than strongly reflecting light, the finish captures it and emphasises the depth of the ribbed design. There is a practical side to all that good looks too: the velvet lacquer is resistant to fingerprints. The paraffin used by Engels Kerzen is refined in Germany and is both REACH-certified and vegan. For an even burn, Engels Kerzen recommends trimming the wick to approximately 1 cm before first lighting and checking the length again before each subsequent use. Any residue on the wick should be carefully removed with sharp scissors. It takes only a moment and helps the flame remain calm while the wax pool develops more evenly.
A little gathering of light that goes almost anywhere
Keep all four together or let them find their own places around the room. Both approaches work beautifully. Dark or black candle holders create a graphic contrast with the warm Almond shade, while ceramic, metal and natural materials produce a softer look.
