The ENGELS KLASSIK Ribbed Candle in Almond has a little more presence at 20 cm tall, yet remains wonderfully understated. With a diameter of 8 cm, the proportions feel balanced, while the vertical ribbed structure gives the familiar pillar candle a graphic, almost architectural character. The warm Almond shade sits between beige and light brown, blending naturally with soft neutrals, dark contrasts and warm woods. Its defining feature is the matt velvet lacquer finish. Rather than strongly reflecting light, the surface captures it, giving the ribs more depth and a softer visual effect. It is also resistant to fingerprints, which is particularly useful for a candle that works just as well as a decorative object. To encourage an even burn, the manufacturer recommends trimming the wick to approximately 1 cm before first lighting and checking the length regularly before subsequent use. Any residue on the wick should be removed with sharp scissors. A small piece of candle care that makes good sense when there are up to 95 hours of light ahead.
