Engels Kerzen: Jana

Taper Candle Holder L Ivory

Soft curves, warm candlelight

Straight lines can have the evening off. The JANA L taper candle holder by Engels Kerzen is shaped from two softly rounded forms placed one above the other, giving this compact candle holder its distinctive, almost sculptural silhouette. Finished in warm Ivory, it has a calm presence that slips easily into different interiors and table settings. JANA is made from powder-coated aluminium, measures 5 cm high and 7 cm in diameter, and is supplied as one piece. A particularly useful detail is its ability to hold taper candles with either a 2.2 cm or 3.0 cm diameter. This gives you more freedom to switch between slender and slightly wider candles without changing the holder. A felt pad underneath protects dining tables, sideboards and other delicate surfaces. For cleaning, simply wipe the body with a damp cloth and avoid washing it with hot water, which could unnecessarily heat the aluminium. The result is a home accessory that looks considered even before the candle is lit, and becomes all the more atmospheric once a small flame enters the picture.

A small candle holder with plenty of plans

JANA's softly rounded shape brings a gentle rhythm to an arrangement without feeling overly formal. The Ivory candle holder works just as naturally on a dining table as it does on a sideboard, windowsill or occasional table. During Advent it can become part of a group of candle holders, while birthdays and weddings give it an easy place amongst table decorations. On an ordinary Tuesday, it needs no particular excuse at all. The choice of two candle diameters also leaves plenty of room to change the mood. Pair JANA with pale taper candles for a calm tonal composition or introduce stronger colours for a deliberate contrast. The JANA taper candle holder is also available in Black, making it easy to combine matching shapes in different shades for a more individual arrangement.

Candles can do more than flicker

JANA comes from Engels Kerzen, a German candle manufacturer whose story dates back to 1933. The family-run company combines generations of craftsmanship with a keen eye for contemporary shapes, colours and candle culture. Its candles are made in Germany with close attention to materials, wicks, burning performance and design. That approach extends beyond the candle itself: accessories such as the JANA candle holders create a considered setting for candlelight and make it part of the interior rather than simply a finishing touch. It is an idea that sits naturally with our approach at LIVOSY too. We choose objects that bring atmosphere and character into everyday spaces while leaving enough room for you to make them your own.

Ivory today, perhaps a little colour tomorrow

The JANA candle holder works particularly well with taper candles from Engels Kerzen. Soft neutral shades keep the arrangement quiet and tonal, while coloured or solid-coloured candles can change its character in an instant. Several JANA holders can also be loosely grouped together and paired with bowls, glassware and other home accessories to create a table that feels collected rather than overly arranged. At LIVOSY, you can complement JANA with Engels Fine Line taper and pillar candles, Klassik ribbed candles, sculptural candles and pieces from the ENGELS ORIGINAL collection. Candle sharpeners, candle snuffers and wax adhesive pads take care of the practical details. JANA in Ivory keeps the rest refreshingly simple: choose a candle, light it and let the glow do what it does best.
