Taper Candle Holder S Black

Small curves, a fine stage for candlelight

JANA S brings together two things that work surprisingly well as a pair: deep Black and beautifully soft curves. The taper candle holder by Engels Kerzen is formed from two rounded, organic volumes placed one above the other, giving it the character of a small design object. One that also happens to hold a candle rather reliably. Made from aluminium with a black powder-coated finish, JANA S measures 5 cm high and 5 cm in diameter, making it the compact size in the JANA collection and an easy fit even on a generously laid table. The holder accommodates taper candles with both 2.2 cm and 3.0 cm diameters, leaving plenty of freedom to experiment with different candle widths and colours. A felt pad underneath helps protect delicate surfaces. For cleaning, simply wipe the body with a damp cloth; hot washing should be avoided to prevent the aluminium from becoming unnecessarily heated. Each piece includes one JANA S candle holder in Black. The candle can come later, and there is absolutely no requirement for the colour to behave itself.

Black gets along remarkably well with colour

The dark finish makes this compact JANA candle holder an easy companion for changing table settings. White and ivory taper candles create a crisp contrast, beige and taupe keep things quiet, while stronger reds, greens or blues gain extra presence against the Black surface. Add a black taper candle and JANA becomes almost monochrome, allowing its rounded silhouette and the candlelight itself to take centre stage. With a diameter of only 5 cm, the holder slips easily between plates, glasses, bowls and other accessories without crowding the table.
