Engels Kerzen: Engels Fine Line

Taper Candle White 24 cm

White, with a little something extra

A white candle might sound like the most familiar thing in the world. Yet the ENGELS FINE LINE Ribbed Taper Candle in White proves that even a classic can have a few surprises up its sleeve. Its delicate vertical ribs give the 24 cm tall candle a beautifully textured surface, creating subtle shadows in daylight and a gentle play of light once the flame is lit. The clean white colour highlights its slender, straight silhouette and brings the fine lines into focus. With a diameter of 3 cm, this candle has slightly more presence than a traditional slim dinner candle, while retaining an elegant, balanced shape. Handcrafted and cast in Germany, it is made from vegan, REACH-certified paraffin wax and is coloured all the way through, so its white shade remains consistent as it burns. With an approximate burning time of 30 hours, the candle offers plenty of opportunities for leisurely dinners, long conversations and quiet moments at home. And perhaps a gentle reminder that white can be every bit as interesting as a bold colour.

A classic that changes with its surroundings

White candles have a wonderful ability to adapt to almost any setting, taking on a different character depending on what surrounds them. On a rustic wooden table, they feel warm and natural. Alongside fine porcelain and clear glass, they create a calm, almost architectural arrangement. Paired with linen, ceramics or understated metal accessories, the ENGELS FINE LINE candle reveals its contemporary side. The fine vertical ribbing adds texture and interest, making it a decorative piece even when unlit. As a dinner candle, it feels equally at home at weddings, birthdays, Easter gatherings and festive Christmas meals, as well as relaxed evenings with friends. Several white taper candles arranged at different heights create a beautifully balanced display, while mixing them with other shades from the FINE LINE collection introduces a little more colour. The carefully formulated paraffin wax supports a slow, even burn and a calm flame. For safe use, choose a stable candle holder designed to accommodate its 3 cm diameter.

Craftsmanship that speaks for itself

Engels Kerzen has been making candles in Kempen, Germany, since 1933, bringing together traditional wax craftsmanship and a thoughtful approach to form, colour and light. Originally known for producing church candles, the family-run manufacturer has developed over three generations into a respected name in decorative candles and home accessories. More than 90 years of experience continue to influence the way each collection is designed and produced. The ENGELS FINE LINE range offers a contemporary interpretation of classic taper and pillar candles, distinguished by its delicate vertical ribbing and carefully coordinated palette of six colours. Every candle in the collection is coloured throughout, while the paraffin used in production is refined in Germany, vegan and REACH-certified. Its formulation is designed to support reliable burning properties and a calm flame. At LIVOSY, we appreciate objects that do not need to make a grand statement. Thoughtful design, careful workmanship and the simple pleasure of using something beautiful every day are often more than enough.

A little candlelight goes with everything

The white FINE LINE Ribbed Taper Candle is wonderfully easy to combine with different interiors and table settings. It looks particularly appealing alongside natural wood, linen and stoneware, or as part of a pared-back arrangement featuring glass and metal. For a coordinated display, arrange several white taper candles together or pair them with matching ENGELS FINE LINE pillar candles. Combining white with colours such as burgundy, spruce green or pebble grey creates subtle contrasts while maintaining a relaxed, considered look. At LIVOSY, you will also find classic Engels ribbed candles, Engels Original taper and pillar candles, and coordinating JANA candle holders. Useful accessories such as candle sharpeners, wax adhesive pads and candle extinguishing tongs make caring for your candles a little easier. To encourage an even burn, trim the wick to approximately 1 cm before lighting and keep the candle away from draughts. Each purchase includes one handcrafted candle weighing approximately 110 g. Whether chosen for a beautifully laid table, a thoughtful little gift or simply a quiet evening at home, white candlelight always seems to find its place.
