Its minimalist cylindrical design combines architectural clarity with the tactile beauty of fine porcelain. The satin-matte surface gives the white hard porcelain a soft, refined feel that sits comfortably in the hand and feels distinctly different from conventional travel mugs made of metal or plastic.

With a capacity of 0.30 litres, the thermal mug is ideal for coffee, tea or other hot drinks on the go. Thanks to its double-walled porcelain construction, beverages remain pleasantly tempered for longer while the exceptionally thin porcelain walls keep the mug surprisingly lightweight.

Porcelain craftsmanship with remarkable precision

As one of Germany’s oldest porcelain manufacturers, FÜRSTENBERG has represented exceptional craftsmanship and contemporary design for centuries. Many stages of production are still completed by hand in Germany, combining precision, expertise and a deep understanding of porcelain artistry.

Creating the double-walled DATUM thermal mug was a particular technical achievement. The remarkably thin porcelain walls — measuring only around two and a half millimetres — make the mug unexpectedly light while maintaining excellent insulating properties.

Together with Foster + Partners Industrial Design, FÜRSTENBERG created a thermal mug that merges modern mobility with refined porcelain culture in an elegant and highly contemporary way.
