A little journey through the Christmas sea
A sea turtle and its baby on the Christmas tree? That's certainly an unexpected festive journey. The Gift Company Turtle with Baby Hanging Decoration brings a charming glimpse of the underwater world into your Christmas decorations, complete with a lovely little story of its own. The larger sea turtle appears to glide through the water with its flippers outstretched, while a smaller turtle enjoys a ride on its back. Both figures feature carefully shaped heads and flippers in warm shades of brown, decorated with darker, naturally inspired markings. The curved shell shimmers in metallic blue and turquoise, with silver-coloured outlines and sparkling details highlighting its textured surface. Made from glass and polyresin, the ornament combines glossy finishes with sculpted elements that give the turtles their distinctive appearance. Measuring 7.5 cm high, 10 cm wide and 12.6 cm deep, the decoration has an elongated, flowing silhouette and weighs approximately 49 grams. A red hanging ribbon allows the little travellers to find their place amongst the Christmas tree branches. Who knew a family trip beneath the waves could look quite so at home at Christmas?
Two turtles, one lovely little story
What makes this Christmas ornament particularly appealing is the relationship between the two turtles. The larger one carries its baby on its back, creating a gentle image of closeness, care and travelling together. It is a thoughtful addition to Christmas trees decorated with personal favourites, treasured memories and ornaments collected over the years. Perhaps the turtles bring back memories of a seaside holiday, an unforgettable encounter with marine wildlife or simply the warmth of family life. The shimmering blue shell looks beautiful alongside silver, white and champagne-coloured baubles, while the brown flippers add a natural contrast. Beyond the Christmas tree, the ornament can be displayed on a decorative branch, incorporated into a coastal-inspired arrangement or given as a thoughtful present to someone who loves turtles and the sea. As it is made from glass and polyresin, it should be hung securely on a sturdy branch with enough space for the figure to hang freely.
A little ocean magic amongst the stars
Gift Company enjoys creating decorative pieces that offer an unexpected twist on familiar ideas. Since 1991, the Hamburg-based German design brand has been developing gifts and home accessories that bring colour, imagination and a gentle sense of humour into everyday life. Its motto, “Ein Bunt fürs Leben”, celebrates the pleasure of surrounding ourselves with objects full of personality. This turtle ornament reflects that philosophy beautifully, replacing a traditional Christmas character with a delightful scene from the underwater world. Manufactured in China, the decoration combines different materials with carefully considered colours and expressive details. At LIVOSY, we appreciate objects that can take on personal meaning and feel at home in different interiors. Alongside our changing selection of Gift Company Christmas decorations, we also offer pieces such as Artisan vases, decorative Love Plates and Love Trays, and Madras lanterns. Each brings its own character and a playful approach to design.
A place for memories, big and small
The Turtle with Baby Hanging Decoration pairs beautifully with other animal-inspired ornaments and playful Gift Company Christmas decorations. For a calm, coordinated look, combine it with blue and silver baubles, transparent glass ornaments and warm white fairy lights. Natural wooden decorations, simple glass baubles and a few coastal-inspired details also complement its gentle colours. Alternatively, let the turtles become a distinctive individual piece amongst traditional Christmas decorations, adding a personal story to the tree. Supplied as one individual blue and brown ornament made from glass and polyresin, it makes a charming gift for sea lovers, turtle enthusiasts or anyone who treasures shared experiences. It might even become one of those special decorations brought out every December, reminding everyone of a favourite holiday or a meaningful moment together. Some memories are simply too lovely to leave behind, even when they come from beneath the sea.
