Leblon Delienne: Donald

Donald Duck Original 27 cm

Donald has something to say. Naturally.

Beak wide open, head tilted dramatically upwards and fists ready for action: Donald Duck clearly has a few things to get off his chest. And judging by his expression, he's not planning to keep them to himself. The Donald Duck Original sculpture by Leblon Delienne captures Disney's famously hot-headed duck in all his wonderfully expressive glory. Standing 27 cm tall and measuring 18 cm wide, this multicoloured decorative figure brings together every detail that makes Donald instantly recognisable: his white feathers, bright orange beak and feet, black sailor suit with yellow trim, cheerful red bow tie and signature blue cap. Crafted from epoxy resin with a matt finish, the sculpture features carefully modelled details and a dynamic pose that gives the character an almost theatrical presence. His head is thrown back, his body leans into the moment and you can practically hear the unmistakable sound of another Donald Duck outburst. A familiar Disney character reimagined as a sculptural design object, ready to bring a little personality to a bookshelf, sideboard or favourite corner of your home.

A little temper goes a long way

Donald has never been particularly good at keeping his emotions to himself. Perhaps that's exactly why generations have grown so fond of him. Leblon Delienne captures this wonderfully human side of the Disney character in a sculpture that feels equally at home amongst carefully chosen interiors and treasured collectables. Its expressive silhouette and vibrant colours create a playful contrast with quieter materials such as natural wood, stone and ceramics. The compact proportions make it easy to display without overwhelming a room, while the unmistakable character gives it enough presence to stand confidently on its own. Limited to 1,500 individually numbered pieces and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, Donald Duck Original also has a special appeal for collectors. It's a thoughtful gift for Disney enthusiasts, lovers of pop culture and anyone who appreciates an object with a story to tell. Childhood nostalgia is certainly part of the charm, but there's something rather grown-up about choosing a piece that still makes you smile.

From a pencil line to a personality

In its sculpture atelier in Normandy, France, Leblon Delienne has spent around four decades bringing beloved characters from comics, animation and popular culture into the world of three-dimensional design. The creative process begins with familiar illustrations and transforms them into expressive sculptural objects, combining artistic interpretation with meticulous craftsmanship. The workshop's expertise has been recognised with the prestigious French Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant (EPV) distinction, awarded to businesses that preserve and develop exceptional artisanal skills. From Disney favourites to the Peanuts characters and Warner Bros. icons, Leblon Delienne creates sculptures that celebrate the personalities and stories people have grown up with. The appeal lies in the balance between familiarity and craftsmanship: these are characters we already know, presented in a form that invites us to see them differently. At LIVOSY, we appreciate precisely this connection between thoughtful design, cultural memories and objects that become part of someone's everyday life.

Good company, questionable manners

Give Donald a place amongst your favourite art books, a simple ceramic vase or a collection of carefully chosen decorative objects and he'll settle right in. Although we can't promise he'll behave. His bright colours bring a lively accent to understated interiors, while his familiar sailor outfit makes him a natural companion to other Disney sculptures. Pair him with additional Leblon Delienne figures, including characters from the Peanuts or Warner Bros. collections, and a personal little universe of pop culture begins to take shape. Equally charming as a standalone piece, Donald Duck Original brings together French sculptural craftsmanship, a much-loved Disney personality and the pleasure of collecting things that mean something to you. Whether it's a gift for someone special or a new addition to your own collection, this is one character who certainly won't fade quietly into the background. And really, would we want him to?
