Why Lampe Berger works differently from ordinary diffusers

Most home fragrances simply mask unpleasant odours. Lampe Berger follows a completely different philosophy. The patented catalytic diffusion system was originally developed in the late 19th century to help purify hospital air by actively reducing odours and airborne impurities.

So how does a Lampe Berger work? Once filled with fragrance refill, the burner is lit for approximately two minutes. The flame is then extinguished, allowing the catalytic diffusion process to continue independently. The generated heat actively attracts and destroys the molecules responsible for unpleasant odours instead of simply covering them.

This makes the fragrance lamp especially effective in open kitchens, after cooking or during long evenings with guests. The air feels fresher, cleaner and softly fragranced without becoming overpowering.

And how long should you leave it running? Usually around 20 to 30 minutes is enough to noticeably refresh the atmosphere. A small ritual with remarkably visible results.
