Natalini: COEUR

Picture Frame 13x18 cm

A little heart deserves to be seen

Photographs of favourite people rarely need much explanation. A few little hearts, however, certainly do no harm. The Natalini COEUR photo frame surrounds 13 x 18 cm photographs with a 20 mm wide wooden border. Small hearts in a mix of warm and muted colours are arranged across the pale, natural-looking surface, while the visible character of the wood brings a sense of calm to the playful motif. The result feels personal and cheerful without becoming overly sweet. The wooden frame has a lacquered finish and is made in Italy. At the back, a velour-like covering and swivel-tab closure provide a neat, practical finish, while an integrated stand allows both portrait and landscape display. COEUR can therefore frame a portrait just as naturally as a travel photograph, family picture or that particular snapshot where nobody is actually looking at the camera and somehow everything about it still feels right.

Little hearts, more room for the photograph

The larger 13 x 18 cm photo format gives the image plenty of visual space and makes this Natalini photo frame a noticeable home accessory for a sideboard, shelf, console or bedside table. Its interplay of natural tones and colour is particularly appealing: red, orange, green, blue and violet add small accents across the pale wood without competing with the photograph in the centre. COEUR is therefore by no means reserved for romantic memories. Family photographs, friends, children, travels and scenes from memorable evenings feel equally at home here. And because the frame can stand in either portrait or landscape orientation, it adapts to the photograph rather than asking the photograph to adapt to it. An obvious detail, perhaps, but a rather useful one.

These hearts are more than surface decoration

The small motifs lead directly to one of Natalini's specialities: marquetry. In this traditional decorative technique, different veneers are precisely cut and then assembled to create a pattern or motif. Their colour, structure and natural grain can therefore become part of the design itself. Rather than simply being printed or painted onto the surface, the decoration develops through the interplay of individual elements. On the COEUR frame, the multicoloured hearts appear as decorative inlaid details, creating a lively contrast against the pale wood. Founded in 1979, Natalini is particularly known for its inlaid photo frames. COEUR brings this craft-led side of the brand into the home with a pleasantly light touch: a traditional technique paired with a motif whose meaning hardly requires a lengthy explanation.

A little gallery for rather important people

COEUR has enough personality to stand happily on its own, but it becomes even more interesting alongside other Natalini photo frames in different colours, formats and designs. The 13 x 18 cm photo size works particularly well as a larger focal point amongst smaller 10 x 15 cm frames. Pairing it with quieter wooden frames allows the colourful hearts to stand out, while the natural tones sit easily amongst ceramics, books, candles and other home accessories. The swivel-tab closure also makes changing the photograph straightforward, allowing your little gallery to evolve as new memories arrive. Giving a photograph pride of place today does not necessarily mean signing a lifetime contract, after all. Although some memories could make a rather convincing case for one.
