Natalini: OBL20

Picture Frame Bianco 10x15 cm

A good frame knows when to take a supporting role

Your favourite photograph brings the story; the frame quietly takes care of everything around it. The Natalini Bianco photo frame from the OBL20 collection gives 10 x 15 cm photographs a calm, graphic setting. Its 20 mm wide wooden frame combines a light, white lacquered surface with a distinctive dark border, whose fine diagonal detailing gives the design definition. From a distance, the contrast feels clean and understated; up close, the subtle detailing adds interest without competing with the photograph itself. The classic 10 x 15 cm format is made for portraits, travel photographs, family moments or that particularly good picture that has spent far too long waiting on your phone for a promotion. A rear stand allows the photo frame to be displayed in either portrait or landscape orientation. Rotating tabs make changing the photograph straightforward, while the velour-like backing adds a considered finish even to the part you rarely see. Made in Italy, the wooden frame is supplied as one piece and holds one 10 x 15 cm photograph.

The photograph stays centre stage. As it should.

Bianco introduces a sense of lightness, while the dark outer edge gives the frame a clearly defined outline. This makes the Natalini photo frame easy to place in both pared-back contemporary interiors and rooms filled with more personal objects collected over time. Let it stand alone on a sideboard or create a small arrangement alongside a lamp, vase or favourite decorative piece. Several photo frames can also sit together without everything becoming too coordinated. And because OBL20 Bianco works in both portrait and landscape format, you do not have to choose photographs to suit the frame. You can simply choose the memory worth keeping in sight. A small distinction, admittedly, but a rather useful one.

A slim frame with a rather long story behind it

Natalini was founded in 1979 and has specialised in decorative photo frames, with marquetry and the creative use of wood playing an important part in the Italian brand's world. Behind this approach lies a centuries-old decorative technique. In traditional wooden marquetry, different veneers are precisely cut into individual shapes and assembled to create patterns and motifs. The natural colours, grain and structure of the wood therefore become part of the design itself rather than a pattern simply being printed or painted onto the surface. It is this relationship between precision and decoration that gives many Natalini frames their distinctive character. The Bianco photo frame translates that decorative world into a particularly calm visual language, which feels very much at home with our approach at LIVOSY: objects can have personality without asking the whole room to revolve around them.

Memories get along surprisingly well together

One frame creates a quiet personal detail; a few frames gradually become a collection of their own. With its light colour palette, Bianco sits naturally alongside wood, glass, ceramics and textiles. It can also be combined with other Natalini photo frames in different colours, patterns and frame widths, allowing photographs to be displayed with a consistent look or with deliberate little contrasts. OBL20 Bianco makes a calm starting point. On a sideboard, desk, shelf or bedside table, it gives a favourite photograph a proper place in the room and brings a memory out of the digital gallery and back into everyday life. Which, quite frankly, is usually where it looks better.
