A little green for the stories worth keeping
A photograph from the last holiday, a familiar face or that snapshot which objectively may not be the best but simply has to stay: the Natalini BIANTE Verde Prato photo frame gives 10 x 15 cm photographs a permanent place while bringing a rich shade of green into the home. Made from wood with a lacquered finish, the frame retains a lively visible texture that gives the Verde Prato colour additional depth. Measuring 13.5 x 18.5 cm overall, with a depth of 1.3 cm and a 20 mm wide border, its proportions are compact and clean. Made in Italy and weighing 0.2 kg, the photo frame has a stand at the back for either portrait or landscape display. A velour-like backing and swivel-tab closure add a practical finishing touch, making photographs easy to insert and just as easy to replace. It turns a digital memory into a small, visible part of the room. Your camera roll will cope.
Verde Prato brings the outdoors in rather charmingly
The name gives a good clue: Verde Prato evokes rich meadow green, introducing a natural colour to an interior without becoming so understated that it disappears. On pale surfaces or amongst cream, beige, brown and natural materials, the green wooden frame develops a warm, distinctive presence. It can be equally interesting as a contrast to pink, red or other stronger shades. The classic 10 x 15 cm photo size works beautifully for portraits, travel photographs, family pictures and little scenes from everyday life, while the 20 mm border gives each image a clear visual edge. Portrait or landscape? Conveniently, the photograph gets to decide. BIANTE Verde Prato therefore feels equally at home on a bedside table, sideboard, bookshelf or desk.
Wood can be decoration. Natalini knows a thing or two about that.
Founded in 1979, Natalini is particularly known for its inlaid photo frames. The traditional technique behind them demonstrates just how much decorative potential can already exist within the material itself. In classic marquetry, different wood veneers are precisely cut and assembled to create patterns or motifs. Their natural colours, textures and grain deliberately become part of the composition. Rather than simply being printed onto a surface, the decoration is created through the relationship between individual pieces of veneer. The available specifications for the BIANTE Verde Prato frame identify a lacquered wooden surface but do not confirm marquetry on this particular model. Its design is therefore best appreciated for what is visible and documented: wood, clean proportions, a textured surface and a characterful green finish. It is a quieter expression of the Natalini collection, made in Italy.
One frame is lovely. Memories can have company.
With its 10 x 15 cm photo size, BIANTE Verde Prato is particularly easy to place on smaller surfaces and within collections that can grow over time. Combine it with other Natalini photo frames in different sizes, colours and orientations to create a personal gallery on a shelf or sideboard, without requiring every frame to match. The green shade can provide a deliberate accent amongst quieter tones or join other colours for a more lively arrangement. It also sits naturally beside books, ceramics, candles and other home accessories. And should a new memory eventually deserve the spot, the swivel-tab closure makes changing the photograph straightforward. Until then, the current favourite can simply stay where it belongs: somewhere you will actually see it.
