Cushion Cover Anthracite 50x50 cm

A dark accent with a surprisingly charming side

Grey has a reputation for being understated. The LORD cushion cover by pad seems to take that as a compliment. With its deep anthracite colour, subtly mottled fabric texture and generous 50 x 50 cm square shape, this decorative cushion cover brings a sense of calm and character to sofas, armchairs and beds. The almost-black shade reveals a gentle depth through the fine texture of the fabric, particularly when paired with light upholstery, natural materials and warm ambient lighting. Made from 100% polypropylene (Harmolan®), the cover combines a distinctive textile appearance with a material suited to everyday living. There are no bold prints, lettering or elaborate decorative details competing for attention. Instead, LORD lets its simple square silhouette, rich charcoal-grey colour and quietly interesting surface do the talking. It feels equally at home in a contemporary living room, a relaxed Scandinavian-inspired interior or a cosy space filled with collected furniture and personal touches. A pad cushion cover for anyone who appreciates thoughtful details and understands that restraint can have rather a lot of personality.

A little contrast changes the whole conversation

Measuring 50 x 50 cm, the LORD cushion cover offers a generous square shape that allows its dark fabric texture to make a subtle impression. It works beautifully as a decorative sofa cushion, as part of a layered arrangement on the bed or on a spacious lounge chair. Against cream, beige or natural white upholstery, anthracite creates a defined contrast, while darker woods, leather and muted colours bring out its calmer, more intimate character. LORD also offers practical qualities for everyday use. The fabric is certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100, meaning it has been tested for harmful substances. The cover can be washed on a gentle cycle at 60°C, making regular care straightforward. Bleaching, ironing and tumble drying are not recommended, while professional cleaning with perchloroethylene is permitted. Add a suitable 50 x 50 cm cushion pad to give the cover its shape and create a comfortable decorative addition to your favourite spot. A considered balance of simple design, practical materials and everyday enjoyment.

A lord who would rather stay on the sofa

The name might suggest a grand country estate, but the attitude is refreshingly relaxed. LORD comes from pad, the German home textiles brand founded by Michael Rossmann and known for its creative approach to colour, fabric and contemporary living. Based in Mertingen, Bavaria, pad develops cushions, throws and home accessories that find their way into homes across numerous countries. Its collections often explore expressive patterns, unexpected colour combinations and interesting textile techniques. LORD represents a quieter side of that creative spirit, focusing on texture, proportion and a carefully chosen palette rather than decorative excess. This cushion cover is made in Hungary, reflecting the European manufacturing approach found across much of the brand's range. pad works with selected production partners and places importance on fair working conditions and thoughtful material choices. At LIVOSY, we appreciate that approach. We believe home accessories should earn their place through their design, quality and the pleasure they bring over time, rather than simply following the latest interior trend.

Black and white? Let's make room for anthracite.

The LORD cushion cover in anthracite offers plenty of possibilities for creating a personal, layered interior. Pair it with lighter cushion covers in sand, ecru or warm grey for a balanced combination of gentle shades and darker contrasts. If you enjoy a little more colour, introduce selected pad cushions in olive green, rusty red or deep blue. Different materials can add another dimension: loosely woven fabrics, cosy throws and textured textiles create an inviting contrast against LORD's dark surface. For a relaxed cushion arrangement, combine this square 50 x 50 cm design with the rectangular LORD cushion cover in 30 x 50 cm. The different proportions add visual interest while keeping the overall look beautifully considered. Anthracite also works naturally alongside ceramics, wooden furniture and other home accessories with a more organic feel. There is no need to build an entire room around it or follow a particular set of styling rules. LORD simply finds its place, bringing depth and quiet character to whatever surrounds it.
