A little happiness, with a clever twist
Happiness looks rather lovely in blue and orange. The pad glück(l)ich Aqua cushion cover from the LETTERS collection brings a cheerful splash of colour and a clever little play on words to your home. Across a soft, slightly muted aqua-blue background, the German word “glück(l)ich” appears in vibrant orange lettering, combining the word for “happy” with a playful typographic twist. The unusual spelling gives the design its light-hearted personality, while the contrast between cool blue and warm orange creates a lively yet balanced appearance. Measuring 35 × 60 cm, this rectangular cushion cover is a lovely choice for a sofa, armchair or bed, adding a different shape to an arrangement of square cushions. Made from 100% polyester, the fabric provides a practical foundation for its expressive design. The playful lettering gives the cover an individual character, making it an appealing choice for anyone who enjoys interiors with a sense of humour. And although the message is in German, the cheerful feeling behind it needs very little translation.
Happiness has found somewhere to sit
What makes this decorative cushion cover so appealing is the balance between its gentle background colour and its confident orange lettering. The aqua shade brings a fresh, relaxed feeling to a room, while the warm orange adds an unexpected touch of energy. Together, they work beautifully with neutral interiors, natural materials and more colourful living spaces. Against a cream sofa, the design feels light and inviting; paired with deeper blues or warm wooden furniture, its colours become more pronounced. The 35 × 60 cm rectangular shape is particularly useful for layering in front of larger square cushions or adding a decorative finishing touch to a neatly made bed. It also looks charming on a favourite reading chair, where a little colour can make the corner feel more personal. Caring for the cover is straightforward: it can be washed at 30°C and ironed at temperatures up to 150°C. Bleaching and tumble drying should be avoided. A suitable 35 × 60 cm cushion insert is required for use.
A colourful outlook comes naturally
German home textiles brand pad has always enjoyed doing things a little differently. Founded by Michael Rossmann following an unexpected change of plans, the company has grown into an internationally recognised name for expressive cushions, throws and home accessories. Based in Mertingen, Bavaria, pad creates collections inspired by fashion, colour and the pleasure of making everyday spaces feel more individual. The LETTERS collection reflects this approach through playful typography and messages that give home accessories their own voice. According to the brand, carefully chosen manufacturing partners and fair working conditions form an important part of its philosophy. Although many pad products are manufactured in Europe, this particular cushion cover is made in China. At LIVOSY, we appreciate pieces that bring character into the home without demanding a complete change of scenery. A thoughtfully chosen cushion can introduce a new colour, express a little personality or simply make someone smile as they walk into the room.
Let your sofa join the conversation
The glück(l)ich Aqua cushion cover is wonderfully easy to combine with other colours and textures. Pair it with plain cushions in cream, sand or soft grey to let the orange lettering take centre stage, or echo its aqua background with deeper shades of blue for a more layered look. Warm terracotta, coral and burnt orange also make lovely companions, picking up the warmth of the lettering without making the arrangement feel too busy. Add a cosy throw and natural materials such as wood, linen or cotton to create a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. For something a little more playful, combine it with other typographic designs from the pad LETTERS collection and let the different messages tell their own story. The elongated shape works particularly well in front of larger cushions, creating depth and a pleasing mix of proportions. Whether chosen as a thoughtful gift, a cheerful addition to your living room or simply a reminder to enjoy the lighter side of life, this cushion cover brings a little happiness into everyday surroundings. Discover glück(l)ich Aqua and give your favourite corner a reason to smile.
