Decorative Boat Wood 49 cm Natural

A little boat with plenty of room for ideas

All aboard, although preferably without leaving the dining table: this decorative wooden boat by Scheulen brings a beautifully calm sense of movement to an interior with its long, slender silhouette. Made from wood in a natural brown tone, the decorative bowl allows the grain and individual character of the material to remain visible. At 49 cm long, 11 cm wide and just 3.5 cm high, its low profile works beautifully on a dining table, sideboard, windowsill or chest of drawers. The tapered ends and gently carved interior create the distinctive boat-like shape, giving the piece an organic presence without making it overly decorative. Leave it empty and the wood itself takes centre stage; add a few carefully chosen accessories and it becomes a wonderfully versatile setting for seasonal arrangements. At Christmas, its elongated shape is ideal for pine cones, branches, baubles and other festive finds, creating natural Christmas table decoration with a relaxed feel.

49 centimetres with no intention of hibernating

The real appeal of this Scheulen decorative bowl is how easily it moves through the seasons. Fill it with dried flowers, nuts and natural finds in autumn, then add fir branches, Christmas baubles or decorative stars for a festive arrangement in December. Once Christmas is over, there is no reason to pack it away. A few branches, pebbles or carefully selected home accessories are enough to give the wooden boat an entirely different mood. Its low 3.5 cm height is particularly useful on a dining table, where it creates a noticeable centrepiece without becoming a visual barrier. As wood is a natural material, variations in grain and colour can be part of its appearance, giving each arrangement a little more character.

From floristry supplies to a world of decoration

Scheulen's story began in 1951 with the sale of seeds before the company gradually expanded into floristry supplies, decorative objects and giftware. In 2026, Scheulen celebrates its 75th anniversary. That connection with floristry feels particularly fitting here: rather than dictating how it should be styled, this wooden decorative bowl provides a simple foundation for your own ideas. Scheulen lists the piece among its natural products and offers the decorative boat in different sizes; this version measures 49 x 11 x 3.5 cm.

Fir branches today, favourite finds tomorrow

The natural wooden surface becomes especially interesting when paired with contrasting materials. Clear or coloured glass, metal candle holders, ceramics and soft textiles all bring another dimension to its organic texture. For Christmas, arrange the boat with fir branches, pine cones and just a handful of ornaments for a festive display that feels considered rather than crowded. During the rest of the year, combine it with other wooden accessories from Scheulen or place it alongside ceramics, candles and glassware for an easy, relaxed composition. Its versatility is precisely why this 49 cm decorative wooden boat feels at home in the LIVOSY collection: it has character without demanding attention and can change with your home, your table and the seasons. Gather a few things you love and let the little boat take care of the scenery.
