Deer Metal White 15 cm

A touch of winter, no snow shovel required

A white Christmas may be difficult to arrange. A little winter atmosphere is considerably easier: this hanging deer by Scheulen is a 15 cm Christmas decoration made from white metal, giving a familiar seasonal motif a pleasantly pared-back appearance. Its light colour keeps the deer silhouette calm and versatile, making it an easy addition to the Christmas tree. Against deep green fir branches, the white creates a crisp contrast; alongside wood, glass and natural materials, it settles into a softer palette. At 15 cm high, the metal deer is large enough to remain visible amongst baubles and other Christmas ornaments without dominating the overall decoration. And there is no reason to keep it exclusively on the tree. Hang it from individual branches, add it to an Advent wreath, place it in a window or introduce it to a winter arrangement. Scheulen Christmas decoration for those who like their home to feel festive without giving every available centimetre over to Christmas.

White leaves plenty of room for Christmas ideas

Its restrained colour is precisely what makes this deer so easy to combine. White and fir green create a calm, natural Christmas setting, while wood and warm brown tones bring a cosier character. Clear glass ornaments and silver-coloured accessories can take the decoration in a cooler, wintry direction. Prefer a more traditional Christmas palette? Add red or gold. The ornament does not belong to one particular look, allowing it to sit comfortably amongst decorations you already own as well as new seasonal finds.

The motif can travel beyond the tree, too. Suspended from a branch above the table, incorporated into an Advent arrangement or placed amongst candles and natural greenery, this piece of Christmas tree decoration becomes a small seasonal detail for the wider room. Several white ornaments can create recurring accents throughout a space without making the scheme feel busy. It is a simple way to let Christmas decoration flow naturally between the tree, table and living area.

From seeds to Christmas decorations – quite a journey

Scheulen’s story began in 1951, when Hans-Ulrich Scheulen opened a seed business and delivered his goods around Mönchengladbach and the surrounding area by motorcycle. Growing demand for ribbons, wire, pine cones, Iceland moss and candles gradually led to a broader floristry range. In 1971, Scheulen became a founding member of the Bellaflor group and expanded its assortment to include decorative and gift items as well as Easter and Advent products. The family company continued to grow over the following decades; today it is managed by Bernd and Lutz Scheulen and celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2026.

That long connection with floristry and seasonal decoration feels rather fitting for such an uncomplicated Christmas accessory. At LIVOSY, we particularly like the white deer because it leaves space for your own ideas. It does not dictate what Christmas should look like. It simply brings a motif, a colour and a starting point. Fir branches, candles, favourite decorations and you can take care of the rest.

The deer hangs. Everything else can fall into place.

On the Christmas tree, the 15 cm Scheulen deer pairs beautifully with glass and wooden ornaments. For a natural festive setting, combine white with greenery and warm materials; for a more celebratory mood, introduce touches of brass, gold or silver. A particularly calm arrangement can be created by mixing different shades of white and cream with clear glass, paper decorations and natural branches. The winter deer remains visible, but never needs to shout for attention.

This Scheulen white metal deer is a small seasonal accessory that can be interpreted differently each year: traditionally on the Christmas tree this time, perhaps hanging from a branch in a vase next year, or appearing amongst your Christmas table decorations. That versatility is part of its charm. Christmas changes a little every year, after all. The box of decorations, somehow, remains remarkably consistent.
