Felt Christmas Tree Dark Green 60 cm

A little forest, with remarkably little effort

This Christmas tree needs neither water nor fairy lights to bring a festive mood into the room. Standing 60 cm tall, the Scheulen Christmas tree is made from dark green felt and gives the traditional fir tree a pleasantly pared-back interpretation. Several interlocking sections create its three-dimensional shape, revealing a slightly different silhouette from every angle. Stepped, pointed edges suggest individual fir branches, while the matt, subtly mottled felt gives the deep green colour a natural character. At 60 cm high, this is one of the more noticeable pieces of Scheulen Christmas décor: substantial enough to stand alone on a chest of drawers, sideboard, windowsill or occasional table, yet compact enough to become part of a larger festive arrangement. The freestanding felt tree needs no additional base. Position it, straighten it, done. December has quite enough other complications.

Sixty centimetres can change the whole arrangement

Its height is part of the appeal. The dark green felt Christmas tree introduces a clear vertical line to seasonal decorating, making it a natural focal point for smaller displays. Its understated material is also very easy to combine. Warm wood and ceramics bring out the natural quality of the dark green, glass adds lightness, while metal accessories provide an appealing contrast to the matt felt surface. Add candles and warm light for a calm Advent atmosphere, or introduce a few baubles and carefully chosen seasonal pieces for something more festive. The 60 cm tree can also be used as Christmas table décor on a generous dining table where an uninterrupted view across the table is less important. Wherever it stands, a little breathing room allows its graphic silhouette to do most of the decorating for you.

Growing from a background in floristry

Scheulen has been working with objects that shape decorative arrangements for quite some time. The family company's story began in 1951, when Hans-Ulrich Scheulen started selling seeds and delivering them by motorbike around Mönchengladbach and the surrounding area. Floristry supplies soon joined the range, followed over the years by decorative objects, gifts and seasonal pieces for Easter and Advent. What began on a relatively small scale developed into an extensive world of floristry and seasonal decoration. In 2026, Scheulen celebrates its 75th anniversary, with the family business now led by Bernd and Lutz Scheulen. This dark green felt tree sits naturally within that heritage. Its character comes from material, shape and the possibilities of arranging it rather than elaborate decoration. It offers an idea for Christmas without telling you exactly what Christmas at home ought to look like.

One tree is lovely. A small forest has its charms.

The 60 cm version becomes particularly interesting when combined with other sizes of the same fir-tree design. Different heights can be grouped into a small woodland silhouette on a sideboard, a wide windowsill or even on the floor beside a cabinet. And there is no need to keep every element in felt. Christmas decorations in wood, glass, paper or metal introduce contrasting textures and allow the deep green colour to stand out. Cream, brown, green and warm light create a calm, natural festive setting, while gold, deep red or reflective accessories bring a more traditional Christmas mood. Prefer things simpler? Give the Scheulen felt tree a space of its own. At 60 cm tall, with that distinctive silhouette, it is more than capable of holding its own. Once the season is over, simply store it away ready for another Advent.
