Felt Christmas Tree Dark Green 80 cm

80 centimetres of Christmas forest, remarkably well behaved

This Christmas tree manages without a trunk, tree stand or lengthy discussions about whether the fairy lights are hanging straight. Standing 80 cm tall, the Scheulen Christmas tree is made from dark green felt and translates the familiar fir-tree shape into pared-back, three-dimensional festive décor. Several interlocking sections form the freestanding tree, giving its silhouette interest from different angles. Stepped, pointed contours echo the shape of fir branches, while the matt, subtly varied felt surface gives depth to the dark green colour. At 80 cm high, this version has a noticeable presence and works particularly well on sideboards, low furniture and wide windowsills or as part of a floor-level display. It requires no additional base. That simplicity is very much part of its appeal: unmistakably Christmassy without relying on ornaments, glitter or familiar festive motifs to attract attention. Scheulen Christmas décor for anyone who likes Christmas to be recognisable before somebody has written “Ho Ho Ho” on it.

Big enough to have its own little stage

At 80 cm tall, the dark green felt tree can comfortably take a leading role in a festive arrangement. On a low sideboard it becomes a calm focal point, while placed on the floor beside a cabinet, armchair or console it introduces a seasonal note with surprisingly little effort. Its deep green colour is also easy to combine. Light or dark wood enhances its natural character, cream ceramics create a softer setting and glass brings a sense of lightness. Metallic Christmas decorations and reflective accessories provide a deliberate contrast to the matt felt surface. Add the warm glow of candles or nearby lights and the mood becomes distinctly festive without feeling overly decorated. Christmas has arrived, quietly but quite clearly.

A story that started with seeds

Scheulen's long connection with seasonal decoration has grown over many decades. The family company's story began in 1951, when Hans-Ulrich Scheulen started selling seeds. During his motorbike delivery rounds, customers increasingly asked for floristry supplies, leading to a range that included ribbon, wire, pine cones, Iceland moss and candles. Over the years, the assortment expanded considerably to include decorative objects, gifts and seasonal pieces for Easter and Advent. Today, seasonal accessories and Christmas decorations are an established part of the Scheulen world. In 2026, the company celebrates its 75th anniversary and is now led by Bernd and Lutz Scheulen. The dark green felt Christmas tree feels very much at home in that story: its familiar shape leaves plenty of freedom for individual decorating ideas rather than deciding the entire room for you.

One tree today, a forest tomorrow

The 80 cm Christmas tree has enough character to stand confidently on its own, but combining it with other sizes of the Scheulen fir-tree design creates an entirely different effect. Varying heights form a small woodland landscape with depth and make even a restrained arrangement feel more dynamic. Pair the felt trees with natural wood, ceramics and glass or introduce individual metal accessories for contrast. Dark green, cream and brown create a calm, natural palette, while gold, burgundy or warm red add a more traditional festive note. Thanks to its height, the 80 cm version makes an excellent visual anchor within a group. And because the graphic silhouette works just as well by itself, the arrangement can change from one Christmas to the next. A solo tree this year, perhaps a small forest the next.
