A Christmas story that began back in 1951

Scheulen's story began in 1951, when Hans-Ulrich Scheulen started the business as a seed retailer. He initially delivered throughout Mönchengladbach and the surrounding area by motorcycle, while customers increasingly began asking for floristry supplies including ribbon, wire, pine cones, Iceland moss and candles. Over the years, this developed into a broader collection of floristry and decorative pieces. In 1971, the range expanded to include decorative and gift items for Easter and Advent. Today, the family business is run by Bernd and Lutz Scheulen and celebrates its 75th anniversary in 2026. With its familiar motif and graphic construction, the white paper angel feels naturally connected to this long history of seasonal decoration.
