Paper Tree Brown 15 cm

A little Christmas tree with rather big ideas

This brown paper tree by Scheulen needs neither needles nor fairy lights to bring a little Christmas atmosphere to the table. At 15 cm high, it stays pleasantly compact, while its fanned paper construction gives it a surprisingly sculptural presence. Individual layers of paper create the soft, tiered outline of a fir tree, with gentle curves and shadows that change slightly depending on where you view it from. The warm brown colour gives traditional Christmas décor a calmer, more natural direction and makes the tree easy to place in both pared-back and more expressive seasonal settings. Its construction is pleasingly simple, too: unfold the tree, secure it using the integrated magnetic closure and place it upright wherever a little festive detail is called for. Once Christmas is over, it folds flat again for space-saving storage. A rather sensible talent for a decoration that spends around eleven months of the year waiting patiently for December. Use it as a small table decoration, on a sideboard, amongst candles and branches or as part of a larger winter display.

Christmas, with a gentle rustle

Paper brings its own character to seasonal decorating. Rather than relying on glossy surfaces, this 15 cm decorative tree draws attention through its folded structure, the fine shadows between its layers and its warm matt brown tone. It works particularly well in Christmas schemes built around natural colours and a considered mix of materials. Wood, ceramics, glass, evergreen branches and candlelight all make easy companions; on a Christmas table, it also sits comfortably amongst plates and glassware without taking over. For a more minimal arrangement, group two or three paper trees together and simply let their silhouettes do the work. Different heights can create the suggestion of a small winter forest. Scheulen includes decorative paper fir trees within its wider Advent collection alongside seasonal pieces in other materials, making it easy to create a Christmas setting with a more personal mix of textures and forms.

From floristry roots to festive ideas

Scheulen's story began in 1951 with seeds and traditional floristry supplies. Over the decades, decorative objects, gifts and seasonal pieces became part of the company's world, and Christmas decoration now has an established place within its range. This paper tree reflects that decorative side of Scheulen particularly well: it is an uncomplicated object that relies on material, colour and shape rather than trying to announce Christmas with quite so much sparkle. That approach sits naturally with the LIVOSY way of looking at interiors, too. We like objects that create atmosphere while leaving enough room for your own ideas. Our role is to curate and inspire rather than prescribe how a home ought to look.

A tiny forest looking for a good spot

At just 15 cm high, the brown Scheulen paper tree fits comfortably into places where larger Christmas decorations can quickly feel like too much: the dining table, a windowsill, mantelpiece, shelf or a small seasonal arrangement in the hallway. For a calm table setting, combine it with cream tableware, clear or coloured glass and simple candles. For something a little more playful, bring several paper trees together or mix in Christmas accessories of different heights and materials. The warm brown works beautifully with natural shades, but it can just as easily sit alongside traditional red, deep green or subtle metallic details. And once the celebrations are over? Open the magnetic closure, fold the tree flat and store it away until next year. Christmas decorating can be that uncomplicated. Keep it as a single quiet accent or give it some company – after all, a little forest on the table feels entirely reasonable in December.
