Paper Tree Dark Red 25 cm

A Christmas tree that becomes remarkably small in January

No falling needles, no watering and, once Christmas is over, very little space required. Scheulen's 25 cm paper tree unfolds from dark red paper into a three-dimensional fir tree silhouette with a rich, finely folded structure. Layer upon layer of paper creates softly curved tiers, giving this Christmas decoration an almost sculptural quality, while the deep red brings warmth to a dining table, sideboard, windowsill or shelf. Behind its decorative appearance is a pleasingly simple idea: unfold the tree, secure it using the integrated magnetic closure and it stands freely on its own. After Christmas, simply fold it flat again for space-saving storage. At 25 cm tall, this Scheulen Christmas decoration has enough presence to catch the eye while remaining compact enough to sit among candles, vases, bowls and other seasonal accessories. It also works beautifully as part of a Christmas tablescape, especially when traditional fir branches are allowed to take the year off.

The folds are doing all the decorating

Look a little closer and the appeal of this paper tree becomes even clearer. Its fanned layers create a constantly changing interplay of light and shadow, making the dark red appear richer or brighter depending on your viewpoint. Rather than relying on lots of additional ornamentation, the structure itself provides the decoration. This makes the tree easy to combine with different interiors while giving it enough character to stand beautifully on its own. Place it on a sideboard as the focus of a Christmas arrangement, pair it with candlelight on a windowsill or use its height and colour between tableware and glassware on a festive dining table. The 25 cm version looks particularly appealing alongside the smaller 15 cm paper tree, where the variation in height creates a miniature fir forest with just a few pieces and without quite turning the living room into woodland.

From floristry supplies to Christmas favourites

Scheulen has been working with objects that accompany interiors and the changing seasons for quite some time. The company's story began in 1951, when Hans-Ulrich Scheulen sold seeds and delivered them around Mönchengladbach and the surrounding area by motorcycle. Floristry supplies including ribbon, wire, pine cones, Iceland moss and candles soon followed. Over time, the collection expanded to include decorative objects, gifts and seasonal pieces for Easter and Advent. In 2026, Scheulen celebrates its 75th anniversary. The dark red paper tree feels entirely at home in this world: seasonal and decorative, yet uncomplicated enough to be styled differently every Christmas. It is an approach that also feels very LIVOSY. Festive decoration does not have to take over an entire room. An interesting material, a warm colour and a good shape can change the atmosphere quite beautifully.

One tree has a habit of becoming a forest

Dark red is wonderfully versatile at Christmas. Pair the paper tree with wood, warm brown, cream and natural materials for a calm, inviting mood. Glass and metal give it a cleaner, more contemporary character, while candlelight brings extra depth to the folded paper surface. Different sizes from Scheulen's Christmas collection can also be grouped together, with the 25 cm tree providing the taller focal point and smaller versions building out the arrangement. On a dining table, chest of drawers or among other Christmas accessories, the result can be reinvented from one festive season to the next. And when January arrives, 25 centimetres of Christmas cheer folds neatly back into a slim paper decoration for storage. Even a Christmas tree deserves a little time off.
