Reindeer with Black Antlers Wood 22.5 cm

A reindeer that seems to have winter rather well sorted

Among fir branches, candlelight and all those things that suddenly acquire a star in December, this little reindeer remains wonderfully composed. The 22.5 cm Christmas figure by Scheulen is made from wood, combining a warm natural colour with a distinctive black antler. This contrast gives the figure its contemporary character, while the visibly textured wood effect adds warmth and an appealingly natural feel. Small black star pendants around the neck echo the dark antler and introduce a playful finishing touch. Measuring 12 cm wide and 5 cm deep, the reindeer is pleasantly compact, while its elongated base provides a balanced stance. It makes an easy addition to a sideboard, windowsill, console or seasonally decorated shelf. It can even join the Christmas table, provided the plates and glasses are willing to make room for one more guest.

Festive, without wrapping the entire room in tinsel

The combination of natural-coloured wood and black details makes this Scheulen Christmas decoration wonderfully versatile. Pair it with fir branches, pine cones and warm earthy shades for a natural Advent setting, or place it within a more pared-back palette of black, cream and off-white. Its understated colours allow the reindeer to be styled differently from one Christmas to the next rather than tying it to a single festive theme. At 22.5 cm tall, it has enough presence to catch the eye while remaining compact enough for smaller surfaces. Place it beside candles and lanterns, amongst seasonal accessories or use it as a calm counterpoint to glossy Christmas baubles. The black antler adds a graphic touch to the familiar reindeer silhouette, giving traditional Christmas décor a pleasantly contemporary direction.

From floristry supplies to a world of seasonal decoration

Scheulen is a family business whose story began in 1951. What started as a seed retailer developed over the decades into a supplier of floristry essentials, decorative objects, crafts and seasonal accessories. Today, extensive autumn and Christmas collections form part of the brand’s world. That long-standing connection with floristry and decorative arrangements feels particularly relevant to pieces such as this wooden reindeer. It does not demand the entire room to itself; instead, it slips naturally into different settings and moods. That sits rather nicely with our approach at LIVOSY. We like Christmas decorations that create atmosphere without dictating what Christmas ought to look like. Natural materials, quiet colours and one slightly unexpected detail already make a very good start.

Three reindeer are not quite a herd. But it is a start.

This wooden reindeer pairs beautifully with other Christmas figures by Scheulen, natural wooden decorations, black metal accessories, lanterns and candles. A particularly considered arrangement emerges when the black of the antler appears elsewhere, perhaps in a candle holder, bowl or small hanging ornament. For a miniature winter scene, combine different sizes from the reindeer series and play with height and proportion. On its own, the 22.5 cm version remains pleasantly understated; grouped with other pieces, it becomes part of a small festive landscape with character. A Scheulen Christmas decoration for homes that like December warm and inviting, but prefer their festive sparkle with a little breathing room.
