Standing Angel with Black Star Natural Wood 23.5 cm

One star, one angel and a lovely sense of calm

This angel has already found its star. And seems quite happy to hold on to it. Scheulen's standing Christmas figure combines a pared-back angel silhouette with a warm, natural wood look and a black star that provides a deliberate graphic contrast. Measuring 23.5 cm high, 15 cm wide and 5 cm deep, the wooden angel has enough presence for a sideboard, windowsill, console or festive dining table without demanding the whole stage. Much of its character comes from the interplay of surfaces: the visible, irregular texture of the natural-coloured body gives the figure a tactile appearance, while the black star creates a striking interruption to the pale finish. Wings, a flowing robe and the raised hand suggest the angel with simple lines rather than elaborate detail. A small base allows the 23.5 cm Christmas figure to stand freely, making it easy to incorporate into natural festive decoration as well as contemporary Christmas schemes with black accents, wood, glass and candlelight.

Christmas can have a quieter side

Among fir branches, candlelight and everything that suddenly develops a fondness for sparkle in December, this Scheulen angel brings a welcome sense of restraint. Its combination of natural tones and black makes it particularly versatile. Style it with wood, pine cones and branches for a warm, organic arrangement, or echo the black star with dark candle holders and baubles for a more graphic look. The angel also works beautifully on its own on a shelf or chest of drawers, as the clear silhouette needs very little decoration around it. At just 5 cm deep, it can also sit comfortably on narrower surfaces. A lovely choice for anyone drawn to Scheulen Christmas decorations but happier creating atmosphere than filling every available corner.

75 years and an eye for decoration

Scheulen has been working with the ingredients of atmospheric interiors for quite some time. The company's story began in 1951, developing from the sale of seeds and traditional floristry supplies into an extensive range of floristry, decorative and seasonal accessories. In 2026, Scheulen celebrates its 75th anniversary. Natural materials and seasonal styling have therefore been part of its world for decades. This standing wooden angel interprets that background in an uncomplicated way: a familiar Christmas symbol translated into a restrained silhouette and natural colour palette. It also sits comfortably with the way we see seasonal decoration at LIVOSY. Christmas pieces can create atmosphere and become part of familiar traditions without needing to transform the entire room for a few weeks.

The black star changes everything

For a calm Christmas arrangement, pair the angel with fir branches, pine cones, wooden objects and the warm glow of candles. For something more graphic, repeat the black of the star through dark candle holders, napkins or a few carefully selected festive accessories. Glass provides another beautiful contrast to the textured wooden appearance and keeps the overall composition feeling light. On the dining table, the Scheulen angel can become part of a longer seasonal centrepiece; on a sideboard, a single candle may be all the company it needs. At 23.5 cm high, it remains visible without dominating its surroundings. A Christmas angel, certainly. Just one that manages perfectly well without gold dust or unnecessary fuss.
