Star Bowl Wood 19 cm Natural

A star quite happy to stay on the table

Stars do not always have to hang, sparkle or claim the very top of the tree. Scheulen's Estrella prefers a place on the table: this star-shaped decorative bowl is made from wood and measures 19 cm in diameter with a low height of just 3 cm. Its natural finish allows the lively grain of the wood to remain visible, bringing warmth and character to the clean five-pointed silhouette. A gently recessed centre turns the decorative star into a small bowl that looks equally appealing left empty or filled with a few carefully chosen seasonal accessories. Place Estrella on a dining table, coffee table, sideboard or windowsill for a natural festive accent that does not feel limited to Christmas alone. That balance is precisely its charm: the star shape has an unmistakably wintry, festive association, while the material and colour remain beautifully understated. Pine cones, nuts, dried orange slices or a handful of small baubles all find an easy home inside. Left empty, the wood, grain and shape simply get to speak for themselves.

A little Christmas, plenty of freedom

At 19 cm in diameter, the Scheulen star bowl is large enough to create a distinct decorative accent while remaining compact enough for smaller arrangements. On a festive dining table, it can sit naturally among candles, glassware and tableware; on a sideboard, it becomes the starting point for a small seasonal composition. Fir branches, pine cones and warm earthy tones complement the natural wood beautifully. For a more contemporary Christmas look, combine Estrella with black accents, clear glass or just a few metallic details. Its low 3 cm profile keeps the overall effect relaxed and also makes the bowl easy to incorporate into an existing table setting. And once Christmas is over, there is no need to put it away: used as a small decorative bowl for favourite finds, the graphic star shape retains its appeal long after the fir branches have disappeared.

From floristry supplies to an eye for atmosphere

Scheulen's story began in 1951, when Hans-Ulrich Scheulen started his business with a seed shop. Growing demand for ribbons, wire, pine cones, Iceland moss and candles gradually led to an expanding range of floristry supplies, decoration and seasonal accessories. In 2026, the company celebrates its 75th anniversary. That long connection with natural materials and decorative styling feels particularly fitting for Estrella. Rather than presenting a finished look, the wooden bowl provides a simple form that can be interpreted differently from one season to the next. It is an approach that also feels at home at LIVOSY. We like objects that help create atmosphere without deciding what that atmosphere should look like. A natural wooden star leaves plenty of room for your own ideas.

Five points, rather a lot of possibilities

Estrella comes into its own when surrounded by contrasting textures. Its visible wood grain looks particularly warm beside smooth glass and ceramics, candlelight brings out the natural tones, while darker accessories create a quieter, more graphic contrast. At Christmas, a few pine cones or small baubles are enough to dress the bowl; for an even more pared-back look, simply leave it empty. Combine it with other wooden accessories and Christmas figures from Scheulen to create a natural festive arrangement that never feels too prescribed. With its 19 cm diameter, Estrella is easy to find a place for and can look a little different every year. Perhaps that is one of the nicest things about Christmas decoration: familiar enough to feel comforting, yet open enough for new ideas.
