Star Bowl Wood 30 cm Natural

This star has no need for the sky

Scheulen's Estrella would rather stay somewhere you can admire it up close: on the dining table, a sideboard or right in the middle of a Christmas arrangement. The star-shaped decorative bowl is made from wood in a warm natural tone and measures a generous 30 cm in diameter while remaining just 3.5 cm high. Five clearly defined points create its unmistakable star silhouette, while the recessed centre provides space for small seasonal arrangements. Visible wood grain brings movement and warmth to the surface, making Estrella particularly appealing beside smooth glass, ceramics or metal. At 30 cm, this larger version has a noticeable presence and works beautifully as the centre of a Christmas table decoration. Add a few pine cones, baubles, nuts or dried orange slices and perhaps a sprig of fir. That is really all it needs. Estrella looks just as good left empty, too. In that case, the star itself takes care of the decorating, which is hardly beyond its job description in December.

30 centimetres for your own Christmas story

The larger Estrella star bowl offers enough space to turn a handful of accessories into a considered arrangement without immediately looking crowded. Natural materials emphasise the warmth of the wood, darker accents give the Christmas decoration a more contemporary feel, while a few metallic details introduce a subtle festive shimmer. Its low 3.5 cm profile is particularly useful on a laid table, where the bowl can sit comfortably among tableware, glasses and candles. On a generous sideboard, coffee table or chest of drawers, Estrella can simply stand on its own and let its graphic shape do the work. The star silhouette is unmistakably festive, yet the natural wood appearance remains calm enough to work equally well as part of a restrained winter arrangement.

From floristry to an instinct for atmosphere

In 2026, Scheulen looks back on 75 years of company history. It began in 1951, when Hans-Ulrich Scheulen started selling seeds. Growing demand for ribbons, wire, pine cones, Iceland moss and candles soon led to traditional floristry supplies, followed over the years by decorative objects, crafts and seasonal accessories. That connection between natural materials and decoration remains easy to recognise in the Scheulen world today. Estrella fits naturally into this story: rather than presenting a finished Christmas look, the wooden bowl provides a foundation for ideas that can change from year to year. It is an approach that also feels very much at home at LIVOSY. We like home accessories that create atmosphere while leaving enough freedom to make them your own.

Fir branches today, simply a star tomorrow

For a natural Christmas arrangement, combine the 30 cm Estrella bowl with fir branches, pine cones, nuts and candles in warm tones. Black Christmas accessories, transparent glass or occasional metal accents create a cleaner, more contemporary composition. It also pairs beautifully with Scheulen Christmas figures and other wooden objects, bringing different shapes and textures together without making the display feel busy. For an especially effective arrangement, combine this larger 30 cm version with the smaller Estrella star bowl measuring 19 cm in diameter: the same distinctive shape in different proportions adds depth to a table or sideboard. Once Christmas is over, the greenery can go while the wood stays. After all, a good star does not necessarily need to clock off in January.
