Some decorative objects fill a space. Others shape its atmosphere. The Sheyn Vellen Vase Stone 20 cm belongs to the latter. Defined by flowing vertical waves, the vase appears almost alive, as if movement has been frozen for a single moment in time. Its sculptural silhouette evokes rippling water, softly draped fabric and naturally formed contours, creating a sense of fluidity rarely found in everyday objects.

The soft Stone finish enhances this impression beautifully. Calm, refined and versatile, the light grey tone allows the intricate geometry to become the focal point. Measuring 20 cm in height and 18 cm in diameter, the vase offers a balanced presence that feels substantial without overwhelming its surroundings. The included glass insert allows fresh flowers and water to be used safely. Without the insert, the vase itself is not waterproof.

Designed to change with the light

The Vellen collection explores movement, rhythm and organic elegance through carefully crafted wave-like forms. Fine vertical contours wrap around the surface, creating an ever-changing interaction between light and shadow. As natural light shifts throughout the day, new highlights and details emerge.

Rather than relying on bold colours or ornamentation, the design creates visual interest through texture and form. The result is an object that feels sophisticated, contemporary and quietly expressive.

Architecture transformed into everyday design

Designed by Nicolas Gold in Vienna in 2026, the Vellen collection reflects the architectural roots of Sheyn. Founded by Nicolas Gold and Markus Schaffer, the studio combines advanced digital modelling with cutting-edge manufacturing technologies to create contemporary objects with distinctive identities.

Each vase is produced locally in Vienna using plant-based PLA and precision 3D-printing techniques. This innovative process minimises material waste while enabling geometries that would be difficult to achieve through conventional production methods. The visible layers become part of the design language, celebrating the manufacturing process rather than concealing it.

A calm centrepiece for modern living

The Sheyn Vellen Vase Stone 20 cm works beautifully with fresh flowers, dried arrangements or decorative branches. At the same time, its sculptural form gives it enough presence to stand confidently on its own.
