Handcrafted in Peru and measuring approximately 20 x 20 cm, the decorative tray combines cowhide leather with an exceptionally soft genuine alpaca fur inlay. Silver Grey is a light, subtly nuanced grey, with the natural fur creating gentle variations between silvery, warm-grey and slightly deeper tones. Press studs fasten the four leather corners and create TODO's characteristic gently raised sides. Inside, keys, watches, jewellery, glasses and other personal accessories have a dedicated place to land, cushioned by the dense, tactile fur. WEICH Couture Alpaca brings traditional Peruvian craftsmanship together with a German approach to quality. Its story began well before the first product was made: founder Jannik Weich first encountered Peru as a teenager and developed a close connection with the country, its people and its deeply rooted alpaca culture through subsequent travels. Together with David Kuttschrütter, he turned this fascination into the first WEICH project in 2017. According to the brand, Royal Alpaca is used for its fur products, which are made with specialised partners and workshops in Peru. Transparency around the material is an important part of the story. Alpacas in the Andes are primarily kept for their wool, and WEICH states that animals are not killed specifically for its fur products. Instead, the hides used come from animals that have died naturally or are a by-product of meat production. It is a considered approach to material and provenance that suits an object intended to stay around for considerably longer than a season.

The WEICH TODO Small in Silver Grey introduces an unusual texture to the home without turning it into a grand design statement.
