Small stature, rather a lot of personality

Paco in size S stands just 20 cm high and measures 15 cm wide. His confidence, however, appears to be considerably larger. This handcrafted WEICH soft toy in Champagne is made with genuine alpaca fur, filled with foam and finished with a black silk bow tie that gives his friendly little face a pleasantly unexpected sense of occasion. The dense fur comes in a warm, pale beige and gives Paco his wonderfully soft, cuddly character. At the same time, his compact proportions make him easy to place on a shelf, chest of drawers, favourite armchair or in a child's room without allowing him to take over the entire interior. The natural structure of the fur means that every soft toy can vary slightly in appearance, adding to the individual character of the material. Paco is therefore part cuddly toy, part interior accessory: very much made to be touched, yet far too charming to disappear into a toy box afterwards. He is not suitable for children under three years of age.

Small enough for a shelf, soft enough to adore

Its fine fibres contain very little lanolin and are relatively resistant to dust and dirt, making Paco pleasantly straightforward to care for. An occasional gentle shake and careful brushing with a suitable fur brush will help refresh the fibres and retain their soft texture. For more substantial soiling, professional cleaning is recommended.

From the Andes to the black bow tie

The story of WEICH Couture Alpaca began with founder Jannik Weich's fascination with Peru, its people and the country's centuries-old relationship with alpacas. His travels eventually developed into a shared idea with David Kuttschrütter: to create a brand combining Peruvian craftsmanship and the remarkable qualities of alpaca fibre with a German approach to quality. Today, WEICH works with specialised partners and workshops in Peru and uses carefully selected alpaca qualities for its fur products.

Transparency around the origin of the material is also an important part of the brand's philosophy. According to WEICH, animals are not killed solely for their fur. Instead, hides are used from alpacas that have died naturally or where the hide occurs as a by-product of meat production. For alpaca farmers in the Peruvian Andes, the wool gathered during annual shearing remains the primary source of income. Material, craftsmanship and provenance therefore form a genuine part of Paco's story rather than simply sitting in the background.

He looks rather good with company

Paco's pale Champagne shade pairs naturally with cream, off-white, beige, warm brown and wooden surfaces. The result feels less like a conventional brightly coloured plush toy and more like an interior accessory that happens to have an exceptionally soft side.
