MILO by WEICH Couture Alpaca is a handcrafted bunny soft toy made from 100% Royal Alpaca fur and stands approximately 30 cm tall in size M. The Gold colourway is a rich, warm brown that shifts from caramel to deeper golden brown depending on the light. Long floppy ears, generously shaped paws, a gentle expression and a black silk bow tie complete his rather distinguished appearance. The dense Huacaya alpaca fur has a wonderfully soft, slightly curled texture, making MILO the sort of companion you may find yourself touching rather more often than expected. He feels equally at home as a cuddly toy or as a characterful home accessory on a bed, sofa, armchair or shelf. As alpaca fur is a natural material, subtle variations in colour and texture can occur from one piece to another. We think that is precisely part of the charm. Almost too soft just to look at

MILO really comes into his own the moment you touch him. WEICH uses Royal Alpaca for its fur products, an exceptionally fine grade of alpaca fibre. Huacaya fur is naturally dense, soft and pleasantly tactile, with a gently textured appearance that gives the bunny plenty of character. Alpaca also contains very little lanolin and naturally tends to attract comparatively little dust and dirt. With MILO, the material therefore needs very little embellishment to make an impression. At 30 cm tall, he has enough presence to sit comfortably among cushions or on an armchair without taking over the room like an oversized plush toy. And while the words cuddly toy might initially suggest a younger audience, MILO is quite clearly happy to keep grown-ups company too. For everyday care, gently shaking or carefully vacuuming the fur is usually sufficient, while occasional brushing can help maintain its natural appearance. Professional cleaning is recommended for heavier soiling.

From the highlands to your favourite armchair

The story of WEICH Couture Alpaca began with founder Jannik Weich's personal connection to Peru and later developed, together with David Kuttschrütter, into a brand bringing Peruvian craftsmanship together with a German approach to quality. WEICH works with selected partners and workshops in Peru specialising in alpaca. According to the brand, animals are not killed specifically for the fur used in its products. Instead, the material comes from animals that have died naturally or from fur obtained as a by-product of meat production. Alpaca farming itself has been closely connected with the livelihoods of families in the Peruvian highlands for generations, with the annual shearing and sale of wool providing an important source of income. MILO carries that background quietly rather than turning it into a grand statement: a handcrafted object whose material and origin are genuinely part of its character. MILO's warm brown colouring works particularly well with natural interiors. The manufacturer's age recommendation starts at three years; fortunately, nobody has suggested an upper age limit for cuddling.
