Product information "Soft Toy Gold S"
Small, golden brown and remarkably well dressed
Paco Gold S arrives at 20 cm tall, wrapped in dense alpaca fur and wearing a black silk bow tie as though his place on the sofa had already been reserved. This handcrafted WEICH soft toy from the Paco collection measures approximately 20 cm high and 15 cm wide and is made with genuine alpaca fur in the warm shade Gold, a natural colour sitting somewhere between golden brown, caramel and cognac. Foam inside helps Paco retain his compact shape, while the black silk bow tie gives this fluffy little alpaca his unmistakable appearance. The natural fur has an exceptionally soft, dense feel, with subtle variations in texture and colour making each piece slightly individual. Paco is therefore both cuddly toy and interior accessory: small enough for a shelf, bedside table or favourite armchair, yet full of enough character to rarely go unnoticed. And yes, he is rather good at being cuddled too. This soft toy is not suitable for children under three years of age.
Twenty centimetres of rather convincing cosiness
Paco's smaller size makes him an easy companion and a charming gift for anyone with a fondness for alpacas, tactile natural materials or slightly unexpected home accessories. His warm brown colouring pairs beautifully with cream, beige, wood and other natural shades, while also bringing warmth to pared-back interiors in grey or black. Nor does Paco have to live exclusively in a child's bedroom. On a sofa, beside the bed or amongst books and favourite objects, this little alpaca feels more like a decorative figure with serious cuddle credentials than a conventional plush toy. Which also makes him a rather appealing gift for grown-ups.
Alpaca fur naturally contains very little lanolin and is relatively resistant to dust and dirt. For a smaller piece such as Paco, careful brushing with a suitable fur brush is generally enough for regular care, helping the fibres remain fluffy and retain their natural lustre. WEICH recommends professional cleaning for heavier soiling. In other words, keeping Paco looking suitably fluffy shouldn't become your next weekend project.
From the Andes to the sofa is quite a journey
WEICH Couture Alpaca brings together traditional Peruvian craftsmanship and a German approach to quality. The brand's story grew from founder Jannik Weich's travels through Peru, his fascination with the country and his encounters with the relationship between communities in the Andes and their alpacas. Together with David Kuttschrütter, this connection developed into WEICH Couture Alpaca from 2017 onwards. Today, the brand works with specialised partners and workshops in Peru experienced in the processing of alpaca fur and wool.
A transparent approach to the origin of its materials is also part of the WEICH philosophy. According to the brand, alpacas are not killed specifically for their hides. Instead, the fur used comes from animals that have died naturally or where the hide is a by-product of meat production. For farmers in the Peruvian Andes, the annual wool shearing remains the primary focus and an important source of income. This relationship between material, craftsmanship and traceable provenance fits naturally with the LIVOSY approach: choosing objects that create a lovely atmosphere while carrying a story worth knowing.
Charming alone. Add another and you've started a herd.
Paco Gold S feels particularly at home amongst natural materials and calm colours. For a little company, pair the smaller alpaca with Paco in Champagne or with the larger Gold version. Combining different sizes and fur colours creates a relaxed little alpaca family without turning the room into a nursery. Milo is another member of the WEICH soft toy collection, while at LIVOSY you can also discover pieces such as the Calmo and Amor hot-water bottles, the Cesar wash bag and the Todo catchall tray.
As a small gift, an unusual cuddly toy or a soft accent for your own home, Paco Gold S brings tactile comfort and considered design together with remarkable ease. At 20 cm tall, he doesn't ask for much space. Attention, on the other hand, tends to find him anyway. The bow tie probably helps.
