Paco appears to have mastered the art of making an entrance: warm taupe, an exceptionally fluffy exterior and a black bow tie, just in case guests happen to arrive. The handcrafted Paco soft toy by WEICH Couture Alpaca measures approximately 30 cm high and 25 cm wide in size Medium, combining the familiar charm of a cuddly toy with the presence of a distinctive home accessory. His alpaca fur moves through natural shades of brown, beige and warm taupe, with subtle variations becoming visible as the texture catches the light. It is precisely this natural colouring that gives each animal an individual appearance. Paco is filled with foam to retain his characteristic standing shape, while the black silk bow tie adds a rather unexpected sense of occasion. He looks equally at home on an armchair, bench, open shelf or sideboard as he does being carried off for a cuddle. The wonderfully soft, dense fur makes the latter rather tempting. From the highlands to your favourite chair

The story of WEICH Couture Alpaca began with a journey. Founder Jannik Weich first visited Peru at the age of 16 and later returned to discover more about the country, its people and, in particular, the relationship between alpaca farmers and their animals. His personal connection with Peru and fascination with alpaca fibre eventually led to the creation of WEICH Couture Alpaca together with David Kuttschrütter. Today, the brand works with specialist partners and workshops in Peru, bringing local craftsmanship together with its own approach to quality.

The way the natural material is sourced is part of that philosophy. According to WEICH, alpacas are not killed specifically for their hides. Fur products use hides from animals that have died naturally or hides arising as a by-product of meat production. For farmers in the Peruvian Andes, the annually shorn wool is instead an important source of income. Paco therefore comes with more than an exceptionally tactile coat; there is a genuine story behind the material too.
