Product information "Soft Toy Taupe S"
Small, fluffy and remarkably well dressed
Paco has apparently decided that 20 centimetres is quite enough to make an impression. The handcrafted Paco soft toy by WEICH Couture Alpaca comes in size Small with warm Taupe colouring, wonderfully dense alpaca fur and a black silk bow tie. Measuring approximately 20 cm high and 15 cm wide, this little alpaca companion is compact enough for a shelf, sideboard, bedside table or favourite armchair, yet has more than enough character to be noticed. His natural colouring moves gently between light brown, beige and soft taupe, changing subtly with the texture of the fur and the light around it. That variation is part of the appeal; natural materials have never been particularly interested in following colour charts. Inside, foam helps Paco retain his characteristic standing shape. Add his friendly face, tiny ears and wonderfully serious black bow tie, and this cuddly toy begins to look rather like a miniature host awaiting his guests. Paco is made for cuddling, gifting and displaying, which gives him considerable appeal to both older children and grown-ups with a fondness for unusual home accessories. He is not suitable for children under three years of age.
Twenty centimetres, plenty of personality
Paco's smaller proportions make him particularly easy to find a home for. He fits comfortably into spaces where a larger plush toy might become a little too enthusiastic, and looks charming placed amongst books, ceramics, lamps and other personal objects. Taupe is wonderfully versatile: its warm, quiet palette works naturally with wood, cream, beige, linen and muted brown tones. In more minimal interiors, the fluffy alpaca fur provides a tactile contrast to clean lines and smooth surfaces. Paco therefore sits somewhere between a soft toy and a small decorative object, with just enough eccentricity to keep things interesting.
Alpaca fur has an exceptionally fine, dense structure and naturally contains very little lanolin. According to WEICH Couture Alpaca, this gives the material dirt- and dust-repellent qualities and means that it requires relatively little maintenance. For a smaller fur product such as Paco, regular gentle brushing with a suitable fur brush is generally enough to refresh the texture and maintain its natural appearance. For heavier soiling, the brand recommends professional cleaning.
His story begins rather high above sea level
WEICH Couture Alpaca has a close and personal connection with Peru. Founder Jannik Weich first discovered the country as a teenager and returned on later journeys to learn more about its culture, alpaca farming and the lives of farmers in the Peruvian Andes. Together with David Kuttschrütter, those experiences developed into the idea for a brand bringing traditional Peruvian craftsmanship and the distinctive qualities of alpaca together with a German approach to quality. WEICH works with specialist workshops and producers in Peru to create its collections.
The origin of the fur is an important part of this approach. According to the brand, alpacas are not killed specifically for their hides. Instead, its fur products use hides from animals that have died naturally or those arising as a by-product of meat production. The considerably more important source of income for alpaca farmers is the wool obtained through regular shearing. Alpacas in the Andean highlands are commonly kept in relatively small herds, while their soft padded feet interact with grazing land differently from the hooves of many other livestock animals. Paco therefore carries a quiet story of material, craftsmanship and origin. That sits naturally with the LIVOSY philosophy: choosing objects with substance and a story worth keeping around rather than decoration designed to disappear with the next trend.
He can sit alone. Company still suits him.
Being inspired by a herd animal, Paco is unlikely to object to another fluffy resident moving in. Different sizes and natural shades from the Paco collection combine beautifully, particularly when arranged as a small family. At LIVOSY, Paco can also meet Milo, the rabbit from the WEICH Couture Alpaca soft toy collection. The brand's distinctive material world continues with the Calmo and Amor hot-water bottles, the Cesar wash bag and the Todo valet tray.
Paco Small in Taupe is the quieter member of the family, although certainly not the anonymous one. His warm natural colouring slips easily into different interiors, while the tactile fur, friendly expression and black bow tie give him unmistakable character. Chosen as a thoughtful gift, a small companion for cuddles or an unexpected figure amongst the favourite objects in your home, Paco takes up very little room before somehow becoming part of the place.
