Glass House with LED Star Smoky Grey 20 cm

A little house with an impressive number of starry moments

The Wirtz Glass House with LED Stars in Smoky Grey captures the mood of Christmas in just 20 cm, without asking the entire living room to dress up in tinsel. This house-shaped decorative lamp is made from transparent glass in a smoky grey shade, framed by fine dark lines that emphasise its architectural silhouette. LED stars in different sizes are scattered across the glass surfaces, shining through the tinted panels and creating multiple reflections inside. It is this contrast that gives the piece its character: Smoky Grey feels calm and contemporary, while the illuminated stars introduce a warm festive note. With its familiar pitched-roof shape, the design has something of a miniature glasshouse about it, except the residents here are stars rather than plants. The LEDs are battery-powered, allowing the 20 cm glass house to be positioned indoors without relying on a nearby socket. Place it on a windowsill, sideboard, shelf or chest of drawers and simply let the light do the decorating.

Smoky Grey does Christmas rather well

Christmas lighting does not have to mean an abundance of red, gold and green. The smoky glass gives this Wirtz light house a more restrained character, making it particularly easy to introduce into contemporary and pared-back festive interiors. When switched off, the transparent architecture of the house remains part of the decoration; once illuminated, the stars become more prominent and their reflections appear across the sides, roof and base. The result changes subtly depending on where you view it from. It is also an easy piece to work into an existing arrangement. Pair it with fir branches, pine cones and wood for a natural winter setting, or place it alongside glass, dark metal, silver and cream accessories for a more graphic look. Battery operation keeps placement flexible, with no cable dictating where the decoration has to go. The glass house is designed for indoor use and is supplied individually.

Here, the light does the decorating

The glass house comes from Lichterweihnacht Handelsagentur Stefan Wirtz, based in Jüchen, Germany. The brand focuses on decorative lighting and LED designs for Christmas and winter, with a range that includes illuminated stars, light rings, light trees and other seasonal objects. A recurring idea is the combination of restrained forms with atmospheric lighting. The Smoky Grey glass house follows that approach beautifully: it needs little ornament beyond its glass construction, familiar house shape and scattering of stars. Energy-efficient LED technology is part of the Lichterweihnacht range and is used as the light source in this design. Lichterweihnacht LED lighting can therefore complement familiar Christmas decorations or stand on its own in a more contemporary interior. It is an approach that feels very much at home at LIVOSY: seasonal decoration can say Christmas without asking the entire room to change personality for a few weeks.

A night sky small enough for the shelf

At 20 cm high, the Wirtz Glass House is compact enough for smaller surfaces while still having enough presence to stand alone. On a sideboard, combine it with candle holders, lanterns and a few winter branches to create a calm composition of light. On a windowsill, the outline of the little house becomes part of the display itself. Smoky Grey works particularly well with deep green, warm wood, black, cream and subtle metallic shades. For a more traditional setting, add fir branches and miniature Christmas trees; for a quieter festive look, simply give the glass house a little more space. Its darker colouring also gives it a distinctly wintry character that feels at ease beyond the main Christmas celebrations. A small light for long December evenings, early sunsets and those corners that could use a little extra glow. The stars, at least, have already moved in.
