Four in Pebble. Now candlelight becomes an arrangement.
One candle creates an accent; four turn it into a small landscape of light. This set of four ENGELS KLASSIK ribbed candles by Engels Kerzen brings together four matching candles in the understated Pebble colour. Each ribbed candle stands 15 cm high, measures 8 cm in diameter and is made from vegan paraffin wax. Even vertical grooves run around the candle body, giving the familiar pillar shape a graphic, almost architectural quality. The surface is finished with Engels Kerzen's characteristic Samt-Lack velvet lacquer: a matt coating designed to capture light rather than strongly reflect it while also resisting fingerprints. This gives the warm grey Pebble shade a particularly soft sense of depth and makes it wonderfully easy to combine with other colours and materials. The candles are solid-coloured, dipped and handcrafted in Germany. With an approximate burn time of 68 hours per candle, the four ribbed candles are made for more than looking good on a shelf. It would be rather unfortunate if candlelight never actually met the candle.
Four matching candles, plenty of possibilities
A set of four makes it easy to play with repetition, symmetry or deliberately varied heights. Space the ribbed candles along a dining table, gather them on a generous plate or tray, or use all four in an Advent wreath. Pebble sits somewhere between grey and a warm natural shade, allowing it to work just as naturally with pale wood and cream as it does with black, metal or stronger colours. There is craftsmanship behind the calm
Engels Kerzen has been making candles at its workshop in Kempen since 1933, combining generations of craftsmanship with a strong instinct for colour, form and distinctive finishes. The ENGELS KLASSIK collection expresses this particularly well: familiar candle shapes are given a fresh perspective through carefully considered colours and surfaces while remaining wonderfully easy to live with. The ribbed candles are made from paraffin wax, with Engels using paraffin refined in Germany. Together, the wax, vertical texture and matt velvet lacquer create the candles' characteristic visual depth. For an even burn, Engels recommends trimming the wick to approximately 1 cm before the first lighting and checking it again before each subsequent use. A small ritual that helps each of the four candles burn calmly and evenly.
A quartet that welcomes good company
Four Pebble ribbed candles already make a beautifully cohesive arrangement, although there is no reason to leave them on their own.
