Straight lines can sit this one out: the two-piece PHILIPPI BOW candle holder brings a sense of movement to dining tables, sideboards and consoles with its beautifully flowing curves. Designed by Andreas Ostwald, this silver-coloured candle holder is made from nickel-plated material with a polished finish and measures approximately 17 cm long, 9 cm wide and 8 cm high when arranged together. At 0.75 kg, it has a reassuring presence without appearing visually heavy. Each curved element holds one taper candle, while the magnetic connection allows the two pieces to be repositioned and arranged in different ways. Bring the curves close together for an almost sculptural composition or open them up to give the design a completely different silhouette. This flexibility is what makes the PHILIPPI BOW candle holder so appealing: it sits somewhere between functional candlestick and decorative design object. Once the candles are lit, the polished silver surface catches reflections from the flames and its surroundings, adding another dimension to the flowing shape.
