For cake that deserves a little ceremony
The cake is on the table, coffee has been poured, and suddenly the everyday kitchen knife is expected to do the honours. PRINTWORKS has a rather nicer idea. The Essentials Cake Tools set brings together everything needed to cut, serve and enjoy cakes, tarts and celebration bakes: six cake forks, one cake knife and one cake server in silver-coloured metal. All eight pieces are presented in a white, book-style design box with gold-coloured detailing and a fitted black EVA foam insert. Measuring 28 cm wide, 19 cm deep and 5 cm high, the box keeps the serving cutlery neatly together between occasions while looking far too considered to be hidden at the back of a cupboard. A graphic tiered cake and gold typography decorate the cover, turning the packaging into part of the object itself. Useful for anyone who appreciates proper cake serving tools, and particularly useful for anyone whose enthusiasm for unattractive storage boxes is understandably limited.
Eight pieces and cake is officially served
The PRINTWORKS The Essentials Cake Tools set is made for shared moments around the table. The knife takes care of portioning, the cake server moves each slice neatly onto the plate and six matching cake forks are ready for everyone gathered around it. Bring the set out for birthday cakes, Sunday afternoon tarts, wedding celebrations, pastries with coffee or the experimental bake that somehow disappears much faster than expected. Each piece has its own place inside the fitted black insert, keeping the complete set together until it is needed again. PRINTWORKS began in Stockholm in 2017, founded by Annette and Patrik around a very contemporary desire for more moments away from screens. Familiar objects are reimagined with contemporary design so they can remain visible in the home rather than being hidden once their job is done. The Essentials collection brings the same thinking to useful accessories and gift sets for everyday rituals and celebrations. What connects them is an idea we particularly like: design does not have to dominate a room to add something to it. The box stays. The cake probably won’t.
With its white and gold presentation and silver-coloured serving pieces, The Essentials Cake Tools set is easy to combine with different table settings.
