Product information "Glass Plate Cat L"
A cat with a rather selective approach to affection
Bright yellow eyes, a wonderfully unimpressed expression and a declaration of love that only a cat could get away with. The Gift Company Cat L Glass Plate from the Love Plates collection captures feline affection in all its delightfully sarcastic glory. This rectangular decorative glass dish features a black and grey tabby cat against a vibrant yellow background, framed by a shimmering gold-coloured rim. Across the illustration, four pink banners deliver the cheeky message: “Roses are red, violets are blue, I just wanted to say: I tolerate you!” It's a familiar romantic rhyme with a rather unexpected ending, and one that cat owners will probably recognise all too well. Measuring 10 cm wide, 21 cm long and 0.8 cm high, the slim glass trinket tray provides a lovely little home for jewellery, keys and those everyday essentials that have a habit of disappearing. Equally charming left empty, it brings colour and a touch of humour to a bedside table, chest of drawers or favourite shelf.
For cat people and their wonderfully complicated relationships
There's something rather endearing about a cat that makes absolutely no effort to impress. This Gift Company glass plate celebrates exactly that attitude, turning a playful illustration into a decorative piece with plenty of personality. Its elongated shape works particularly well on a dressing table, hallway console or bedside cabinet, where rings, earrings and other small treasures can be kept together. The cat appears to be keeping a watchful eye on everything, although we wouldn't necessarily trust it with anything too important.
The combination of vivid yellow, pink lettering, monochrome illustration and gold detailing creates a lively contrast that sits beautifully alongside natural wood, neutral ceramics and contemporary home accessories. It also makes a thoughtful little gift for cat lovers, especially those who appreciate dry humour and affection without too much sentimentality. Whether it's a birthday surprise, a thank-you present or a little treat for someone who shares their home with a particularly opinionated feline, this decorative dish offers a smile without trying too hard.
A little colour goes a long way
Founded in Hamburg in 1991, Gift Company has built its creative world around colourful gifts, playful home accessories and design that doesn't take itself too seriously. The brand's motto, “Ein Bunt fürs Leben”, roughly translates as bringing a splash of colour to life, and its collections certainly live up to that idea. From decorative glassware to expressive ornaments and cheerful everyday objects, Gift Company enjoys giving familiar things an unexpected twist. The Love Plates collection reflects this spirit with illustrated motifs, witty messages and eye-catching gold accents.
At LIVOSY, we believe a home should feel personal rather than perfectly coordinated. Beautiful interiors often come together through a thoughtful mix of understated favourites and pieces that reveal a little of the owner's character. Made in China, this decorative glass plate adds a playful contrast to calmer surroundings without demanding an entire room to match. Its combination of colour, illustration and humour makes it a lovely example of how a small accessory can give a familiar corner a completely different mood.
Good company, questionable affection
The Gift Company Love Plates Cat L Glass Plate looks particularly charming alongside other designs from the same collection. Mixing different illustrations and witty messages creates a small display that feels collected rather than coordinated. For a more colourful arrangement, pair it with Gift Company's decorative Love Trays, an Artisan glass vase or a few carefully chosen candle holders. Prefer a quieter setting? Place the yellow cat dish beside a cream-coloured vase or against dark timber and let the illustration do the talking.
Supplied as one individual piece, this glass plate is designed primarily as a decorative dish and trinket tray. Its slender proportions, gold-coloured edging and unmistakably feline sense of humour make it an appealing addition to a home that welcomes a little personality. Explore the Love Plates collection at LIVOSY and give those everyday bits and pieces a place of their own, under the watchful gaze of a cat that might even approve.
