Kähler: Hammershøi Christmas

Advent Calendar Candle 2026

24 days and a little Christmas magic

December has a rather impressive talent for disappearing before you've even finished decorating. The KÄHLER 2026 calendar candle from the Hammershøi Christmas collection offers a lovely reason to slow things down, one day at a time. Made from white paraffin wax, this elegant Christmas countdown candle stands 25 cm tall and measures 5 cm in diameter. A delicate scale numbered from 1 to 24 runs down the front, surrounded by charming illustrations created by Danish artist Rikke Jacobsen. Fine evergreen branches, pine cones and traditional Christmas decorations wind around the candle in soft shades of green, brown, red and blue. The watercolour-inspired artwork feels wonderfully light against the white background, capturing the quiet beauty of a Scandinavian Christmas. Made in Latvia, the candle is designed to be burned a little each day throughout Advent, turning the countdown to Christmas Eve into a gentle daily ritual. Its tall, slender shape makes a lovely addition to a dining table, windowsill or festive display.

A countdown worth slowing down for

Chocolate advent calendars have their charms, of course, but this Christmas calendar candle offers something rather different: a moment to enjoy the season as it unfolds. Light it over breakfast, during a quiet afternoon with a cup of tea or in the evening as the Christmas lights begin to glow. The numbered markings provide a visual countdown, inviting you to burn the candle a little further each day. Place it in a suitable candle holder and surround it with evergreen sprigs, pine cones or a few favourite Christmas ornaments. Its delicate illustrations work beautifully with natural textures, understated festive decorations and traditional Christmas tableware. It also makes a thoughtful seasonal gift for someone who appreciates Scandinavian design, charming home accessories and the pleasure of a familiar Christmas tradition.

A winter woodland, painted with care

The illustrations are the work of Danish artist Rikke Jacobsen, whose delicate, nature-inspired watercolours give the Hammershøi Christmas collection its distinctive personality. Her artwork celebrates familiar Christmas symbols with a gentle sense of nostalgia, creating designs that feel just as inviting year after year. KÄHLER's story began in 1839 with a pottery workshop in Næstved, Denmark. From 1885 onwards, collaborations with artists became an essential part of the brand's creative identity. Among them was Svend Hammershøi, whose signature grooved ceramic designs remain closely associated with KÄHLER today. The Hammershøi Christmas collection carries this artistic heritage into the festive season, bringing together traditional Danish craftsmanship, botanical illustrations and contemporary design. The calendar candle shares this visual language, adding a little Nordic Christmas character to your home.

Let the Christmas details find each other

The loveliest festive arrangements often come together through a few carefully chosen details. Pair the KÄHLER 2026 calendar candle with a coordinating candle holder from the Hammershøi Christmas collection, then introduce matching plates, bowls or decorative Christmas figures. Repeated motifs create a natural connection between your table setting and the rest of your seasonal decorations, without making every corner of the room look like Santa's workshop. At LIVOSY, you'll find a curated selection of Hammershøi Christmas tableware and decorative figures that complement the candle beautifully. It looks equally inviting alongside simple white porcelain, linen napkins and fresh greenery. A delightful way to mark the 24 days of Advent and enjoy a little more of the anticipation that makes Christmas so special.
