Designer Andreas Ostwald translates this maritime form into a 12 cm high home accessory measuring 11 cm in diameter and weighing an impressive 1.61 kg. That reassuring weight gives the PHILIPPI doorstop the substance required for its everyday task: helping to keep doors where you want them. Its aluminium body is nickel-plated and polished to a reflective silver finish, giving this practical object the presence of a small sculpture.
